How to Enter
Step 1: Form a Team
Teams can include up to three people. All members must be university students in Australia and not employees of Entireti or representatives of any Australian Financial Services Licensee.
Step 2: Apply Now
Complete the registration form online. Ensure all members meet eligibility criteria and agree to the terms and conditions. Choose your semester and register to receive the challenge materials.
Step 3: Prepare a Strategy
Complete the case study using the provided guidelines and optional financial tools on the Resources page.
Step 4: Submit Your Advice
Second Semester dates are as follows:
- Case Study sent: Monday, 14th July 2025
- Submission deadline: Monday, 8th September 2025

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can any Australian university student enter the competition?
Yes, as long as you meet the following criteria:
- You are currently studying part-time or full-time at a university or equivalent institution in Australia.
- You are not, and have never been, a Representative or Authorised Representative of an Australian
- Financial Services Licence (AFSL).
- You are not a direct employee of the Entireti Group of Companies or an immediate family member of such an employee.

2. How do I form a team?
Teams can be made up of just one person or a small group of up to three people. All team members must meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
3. How do I apply for the University Challenge?
To apply:
Complete one registration form per team, including all team member details.
Ensure all team members meet eligibility criteria and have read and agreed to the challenge terms and conditions.
Decide which semester you want to compete in before you apply. The case study for each semester will be released to all entrants with the same timeframe to complete.
After submitting the registration form, the nominated key contact from each team will receive confirmation of team registration via email and a copy of the challenge materials.

4. What does the case study involve?
As a group, complete the case study exercise using the provided guidelines and template. The Resources page has financial tools and calculators that, while not compulsory, may be useful when preparing your submission.
5. How do I submit my Statement of Advice?
Submissions can be made by emailing University_Challenge@entiretia.com.au. Please submit your completed case study materials by:
Semester 2: 5.00pm (AEST) Monday, 8th September 2025
Clearly state your team name and team member name(s) in the email body. Note that your first submission will be the one marked and will determine your eligibility for Finals Day.
6. When are submissions due?
Semester 2 entrants: Before 5.00pm (AEST) Monday, 9th September 2025
7. When is Finals Day?
The finals day is scheduled for Wednesday, 29th October 2025.
The location of the final’s day will be confirmed in the lead up to the event. The geographical location of finalists will be considered when determining a finals day location, and travel arrangements will be managed on a case by case basis.
8. How do I know if I am in the finals day?
Once the submission deadline has passed, our judges will assess the applications and decide on the top entries. You’ll find out if you’re a finalist by no later than Friday, 4th October 2025.
9. What happens if I cannot make it to the finals day?
All team members must attend the finals day to participate. The location and format of the finals will be determined closer to the event. If a team member withdraws for personal reasons, Entireti will decide if the rest of the team can still participate.
10. Can I seek help for the preparation of my Statement of Advice?
Your submission must be your own work. Only the entrants submitting an entry can work on it. No assistance can be provided by anyone outside the team, including professors, academic advisers, graduate students, family, financial advisers, or other students not in the participating team. The use of financial planning software and plagiarism is prohibited.
